Florian Meißner is Professor of Digital Publishing at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. In addition to journalism and digital media, his research focusses on risk and crisis communication. He currently heads the EU-funded research network "AlertHub" on warning communication in the event of a disaster and is a board member of the International Crisis and Risk Communication Research Association (ICRCA). Completed projects include risk communication in the context of cyber security, digital disinformation and future trends in journalism.
