Short profile

Lars Rademacher, born in 1972, is Professor of Corporate and Sustainability Communication at the Department of Media at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences; he teaches in the degree programmes "Online Communication" (BSc) and "Online Journalism" (BA) as well as in the international Master's
programme "Media, Technology & Society" (MSc). He is also Director of the Department of Media and Information Ethics at the Institute for Communication and Media (ikum) and Head of the PhD Centre for Sustainability Sciences.


Previously, he was head of the Media Management programme at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences in Munich and conducts research on NGO communication, stakeholder management, corporate social responsibility and organisational learning, among other topics.


Before his academic career, Rademacher was a consultant for six years, after which he was head of
communications at the phaeno Science Center in Wolfsburg and press spokesman at BASF's corporate communications department.
