Labs
To explore the far-reaching upheavals in media production, use and interaction in a comprehensive and nuanced manner, interdisciplinary collaboration is absolutely essential, including at a technical level. Dkmi provides two spaces that facilitate both experimental creativity and traditionally structured research projects:
- the Media Experience Lab
- and the Innovation Lab
Annual reports
Once a year, the fz dkmi publishes an overview of ongoing research activities at the centre and by individual members.
Research environment
The fz dkmi is part of the research landscape at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da). It is one of four research centres and is involved in the research focus "Communication, Media and Social Change". It cooperates closely with the Institute for Media and Communication of the Department of Media, the Graduate School of h_da and the Service Centre for Research and Transfer.
