Organization
The members of the dkmi come from different disciplines with different professional and methodological competences and orientations. The organisational structure of the research centre should therefore support exchange and democratic procedures as best as possible. To this end, the members meet regularly for the general meeting or for research workshops, bar camps or similar events.
Working groups of several members who share a common interest are very fluid: In the dkmi, these are called Special Interest Groups, which organise themselves and exchange expertise or pursue joint projects.
The Steering Committee is an elected group of members.
All decisions are made democratically. This concerns, for example, new memberships, principles for the use of funds, organisation of members' meetings, support for research projects and structuring of strategy processes.
