Profile

B.A. in Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies from TU Dresden. Erasmus stay at UJ Kraków (Poland). MPhil (with distinction) and subsequent PhD at Trinity College Dublin in European Studies/ Russian and Slavonic Studies. Topic of the PhD thesis was popular opinion and memory discourses on state socialist collectivisation of agriculture in the GDR and People's Poland, 1948-61 (minor corrections).

Since then she has worked as research assistant and team member at the University of Applied Sciences Zittau-Görlitz (Institute for Transformation, Social Affairs and Housing) and at the Max-Weber-Kolleg (University of Erfurt). Project leader of research/ transfer projects on Nazi forced labour in Görlitz (Meetingpoint Musik Messiaen e.V., funding by EVZ foundation) and Revolutionale (Stiftung Friedliche Revolution in Leipzig). Since 09/2025 Research Coordinator at the Research Centre Digital Communication and Media Innovation (Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences).
