Professor Sabine Breitsameter elected to the presidium of the Hessian Film and Media Academy
New member of the Executive Committee of the hFMA
Darmstadt/Dieburg - Professor Sabine Breitsameter is a new member of the board of the Hessian Film and Media Academy (hFMA). The film and media network includes 13 Hessian
universities. Sabine Breitsameter is professor for sound and media culture at the Department of Media at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da). She was also recently appointed to the Federal Media Committee of the German Music Council.
For the next three years, Sabine Breitsameter is now a member of the board of the Hessian Film and Media Academy. She was also recently appointed to the Federal Media Committee of the German Music Council. The Federal Expert Committees are expert commissions that advise the Presidium of the German Music Council on concrete professional issues of musical life and
contribute discussion suggestions, proposals and resolution recommendations.
Since 2006, Professor Sabine Breitsameter has been researching and teaching at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences on experimental audio-media design, auditory production aesthetics and the history of listening cultures. She directs the h_da master's programme "International Media Cultural Work" and acts as artistic and academic director of numerous
international festivals and symposia, some of which she brought to the Hochschule Darmstadt. Breitsameter has also worked as an author, director and dramaturge for radio plays, features and cultural departments of the ARD since 1988.
